Akamai Practice Management, provides reimbursement and practice management services for Hawaii's independent physician community.

The Akamai mission is to to leverage our years of local experience to assist you in scaling the administrative hurdles facing your practice.

There are two principal ways we support our clients.

For clients who manage their own receivables, we provide our state-of-the-art practice management software; Akamai PM. Akamai PM is tailored for the Hawaii billing environment and we believe it is the most full-featured billing system available in Hawaii. Akamai PM has been in use since 2005 and is installed in over 100 practices representing nearly every specialty.

For clients who do not manage their own "revenue cycle", we provide full-service, outsourced billing. This comprehensive service shifts daily responsibilities of patient registration, charge entry, claims filing, receipt posting, banking, statement generation, claims follow-up and answering patient calls from the clinic to us.

The teams in our Honolulu and Kapolei offices bill for over three hundred doctors in settings ranging from solo practitioners to multi-specialty groups.

We are exceedingly proud that, in an anonymous survey, over 97% of our clients indicate they refer us to their colleagues.

Akamai also offers additional services including the design and support of in-office networks, integration with a variety of electronic medical records systems and receivables consulting.
